Mineral Sunscreen Duo for Baby & Kids SPF50 0% Perfume

Our mineral sunscreens use non-nano zinc oxide. Under EU rules any nano-sized ingredient must be labelled "[nano]" in the ingredient list, so you can always check the pack. Non-nano means the larger particles sit on top of the skin rather than being absorbed.

We don't use the term "reef-safe," because it isn't legally defined and no sunscreen is completely without impact. Our sun care is free from oxybenzone and octinoxate, the chemical filters most often linked to coral reef damage (and now banned in places like Hawaii). Our Kids sunscreen lotion is also reef-tested, and we develop our sun care with the ocean in mind.

We don't use oxybenzone or octinoxate in our sunscreen. Our baby sunscreen combines two filters: a chemical filter (BEMT) and a mineral filter (zinc oxide). Our kids sunscreen uses a combination of three chemical filters (BEMT, EHT and DHHB) and is reef-tested.

For babies under 6 months, the general advice is to keep them out of direct sun and use shade and clothing rather than relying on sunscreen. From 6 months you can start using a baby-suitable SPF; patch-test a small area first. If in doubt, check with your GP or midwife.

For little ones we recommend a high factor: our Baby & Kids sunscreen is SPF50. Reapply every two hours, and after swimming or towelling off, and combine with shade, a hat, sunglasses and UV clothing.

All our products are made for sensitive skin. Mineral UV filters sit on top of the skin, which generally means a lower chance of irritation, and our chemical filters are chosen to be mild. Where our products contain perfume (we have 0% added perfume options too), it's made without the EU-listed skin allergens. All our products are dermatologically tested, and while our sun products aren't AllergyCertified, they're made to be gentle. In doubt? As with any product on reactive skin, patch-test first.

Apply generously (most people use too little) and don't forget ears, neck, feet and hairline. Reapply at least every two hours, and always after swimming, sweating or towelling.

Sunscreen can stain clothing. To prevent stains, let it absorb for a couple of minutes before dressing, and wash any marks out promptly. Our mineral sunscreen can leave a white cast on the skin (that's normal), but we've worked to keep it minimal.

Yes, all our sun products are water-resistant. To keep full protection, reapply after you've been in the water, swimming or sweating. ("Waterproof" isn't an allowed claim, because no sunscreen truly is.)

Check the product pages for current sizes. As a general rule, liquids under 100 ml are allowed in hand luggage, but always check your airline's rules before you fly.

Yes. Check the "period after opening" symbol on the pack (e.g. 12M = 12 months after opening). Don't use sunscreen past its date, as the protection degrades.
